Privacy
Privacy, in plain words
Brain Bell is built so that we do not need to know anything about students.
What students share with us
Nothing. There are no student accounts, and we do not ask for a name, an email address, a birthday or a photo. We do not know who is playing.
What stays on the device
To remember your grade band, today's progress, your streak and whether Projector mode is on, Brain Bell saves a few small settings in your own browser (local storage). That information never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. We do not use cookies.
Visit counts
We count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics tool that uses no cookies and does not follow people around the web or build profiles. It records things like how many puzzle sets were finished in a day. It does not record names, accounts or anything that identifies a student.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no ad trackers.
- No social media pixels or session recording.
- No selling or sharing of data.
Live classes and your own quizzes
A live class is held in the memory of our server while it runs, and it is deleted when the class ends or after a few hours. We do not keep a record of who played. Quizzes you write are saved only in your own browser, and they are sent to a live class only while it runs.
Schools and families
Because we collect no personal information from children, Brain Bell is designed to fit the rules for children's privacy, including COPPA in the United States and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. Contact details for privacy questions will be listed here before launch.
